Ghost Investigations

Hi All,
There is nothing special coming up for dates this week.  So we will jump right in and start with what happened on our ghost investigation of some islands on the Chippewa Flowage.    My friend Tony was kind enough to get a pontoon for the adventure and be our guide to the three islands we went to.  I should say that I grew up taking family trips to the flowage as a kid but never really went that far from our side of the chain of lakes.  Tony took us to the other side of the chain and introduced us to some beginning history of the area that I would love to explore a little more.

Our day started at the R & R Bayveiw Resort to have an amazing breakfast cooked by Tony's wife.  Highly recommend stopping there for breakfast if you are in the Hayward area, you won't be disappointed but make sure you are very hungry as it will be hard to finish your plate. :)
After a huge breakfast we all ventured off to the pontoon and set out on the flowage to the first island.  Ghost Island.

Once on Ghost Island, I felt a lot of earth energy.  More of the fairy energy and nature spirits here.  I didn't really feel or have any interaction with any earth bound spirits.  Now that's not to say there is or isn't any there.  I was only on the island a brief time.  I do have voice recordings to go through yet as well.

The next island on our stop was Graveyard Island.  Again I apologize for the lack of history about the island.  So from what I understand Graveyard island was once a burial ground for the are tribe.  When the flowage wasn't there it was once a hill and from what little I know they exhumed the graves.  Now you CANNOT go on the island and there are signs posted but you can be in the water just off shore.  We respected the area and stayed close to the boat.  But I had to take a step up onto the island just to get a feel of what could have been there.  I would love to find the person in charge and get permission to go out and learn the history of the island and look around.
When we got close to the island I had this feeling of someone watching us.  I felt like there were a few people (men) watching us pull up to shore and they kept pacing the shore line.  We beached the pontoon and walked in the water so I could snap pictures.  I did step on the island for a few seconds and I honestly couldn't stay on it if I wanted to, as my chest got real heavy like someone was pushing all the air out of my lungs so I couldn't breathe.  Once I stepped back into the water, breathing was normal and I felt fine.  I wanted to test it out so I did step one more time on the island and again could not breathe as soon as my feet were both on soil.  So back into the water I went and stayed.  The entire time, which wasn't too long that we were out around the island, I couldn't shake the feeling that we were being watched.

Again, please respect the land and the signs posted.  Get permission to be on the property if you want to go out on the island.

Our last stop was Darrow Island.  Very peaceful.  We stayed close to the boat but I was able to find a area under some trees which I felt some more nature energies.  On this island I also felt like we were being watched.  I wasn't able to pick up on any earth bound spirits but again my time was limited so that doesn't mean there aren't any there.  I look forward to going back and spending more time there.

My dragonfly hitch hiker.

All and all we had a great time going out with awesome friends.  We even saw some bald eagles.
Have an amazing week everyone.
Blessings All,
Wendy

Pet Healings

Hi All,

I wanted to start with a date.  June 14, 1777 the day America adopted our flag.  June 14th is flag day and falls on Tuesday.  This link will give you some great tidbits about flag day.  http://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/us/flag-day

Next Monday is Summer Solstice.  Time to start thinking of how to celebrate that day!  More on that next Monday.

Pet Reiki and Energy Healings

You know we take care of ourselves and our energy but did you ever stop to think of your pet's energy and how that can affect his or her health?

When I first became attuned to Reiki level l and ll, I was married and we had two dogs.  One a black lab and one a boarder collie.  As I was going through nightly and doing self treatments I noticed the lab would come into the room when she heard my meditation music playing.  A few nights went by and she ended up laying half in my lap to soak up the Reiki energy that I was channeling for myself.  I figured since she was so open to the energy why not hover my hands over her and let the energy flow and pretty soon I was guided to pull energy out of her and push energy just as I would working on a client.  She became my energy junkie....lol.  Now, my border collie, not so much.  She to this day doesn't seem to care for Reiki.  She will stay around when I'm working self sessions but really shows no interest what-so-ever.  If I beam Reiki to her she will get up and walk out of the room.

Now, I will be honest I haven't worked on animals as much as I could.  The opportunity of working Reiki with animals has not presented its self to me.

If you are going to work with a pet introduce the pet to the idea of Reiki or energy healing first.  This can be done with you doing self treatments as you sit on the floor or in an area the pet can access you easily.  I started with a simple body scan and then stopped at a blocked area and channeled energy and when that was accepted, tried a full body session with my hands over my dog as I would a client.

Another technique you can try is beaming.  Beaming energy is pretty simple.  You can do this by sitting with your palms up and just opening the flow of energy to the room or you can actually point your palms to the area you want the energy to flow to.  So if your pet is laying in the corner of the room you can face your palms toward the dog and visualize Reiki leaving your hands and entering your pet through the crown chakra and traveling down the body and leaving through the feet and into mother earth.

Now, you can get pretty into this if your animal cooperates and you can even use stone grids and channel energy as your pet lays there and just accepts it.  It all depends on your pet.

For fish, I would draw Reiki symbols into the water or hold my hands above the water to channel energy to the fish directly.  Hey don't laugh, goldfish like energy too!

I have not yet worked much with cats.  My little girl as been attuned to level l.  She is in the check-it-out stage when I am meditating or doing a self treatment.

So experiment with your animals.  I have also learned I can read an animals energy with a photo and do a distance healing as well.  You can also ask your pet's guides for help and go that route if need be. I have been working with my border collie via my guides and she's been OK with this.

Plants can benefit as well.  I Reiki the water I use for my plants.  When I pot plants I Reiki a stone that stays in the soil and I Reiki the pot the plant will call home. I also keep crystals around and they seem to like the oils I burn.

So I guess the theme for today is treat the living things around you as you would yourself.  If your pets accept energy such as healing touch, aromatherapy, Reiki and such, why not use it.

If you have questions on how to get started drop me an email and I'd be glad to get you pointed in the right direction.

Next weekend I will be in Hayward on a Ghost Investigation adventure.

Until then have an amazing week.
Blessings All,
Wendy

Good Morning!

Good morning all. This is Savannah Rayne and Wendy asked me to let you all know that there will be no Mystic Monday this week. Bummer I know, right?

But Wendy's computer crashed and she had to get a new one and it hasn't arrived yet. So with any luck it will come sometime this week and Mystic Monday will be back on track nest week!
