Ghost and Hauntings from the eyes of a Medium

Hi All,
Well with the weather across Wisconsin not being ideal to travel in as we have a Winter Storm warning and it is currently snowing.  I was not able to make it to Superior to talk and do my booth at the Body Lab USA expo.

I figured I may as well post what I was going to talk about so here it is.

A few years ago, I was working and practicing my skills as a medium for a paranormal group in Stevens Point, WI.  As a medium this is how I conducted my investigation before the team would come in with all their equipment and prove or disprove that there was actual evidence of a haunting.

When I first began with the team I would go in room to room with the the team leader and I found when I did this and got involved with using the equipment my psychic IQ as I call it would tank and I'd doubt myself and what I was getting.  After a few investigations I switched things up and requested that I go into a building alone with the owner and a notebook, flashlight and camera.  This worked much better.

Here is how I started an investigation.
First when I arrived I would shield myself and say a prayer of intent.  I'd ask my guides for protection and also ask that they allow any communications to come through.
Then I would go in and meet the owner, introduce myself to the building and start a walk threw.  During a walk threw the owner would tell me where there was activity but not give details as I like to go into a place without knowing.  So basically our walk threw was a tour of the building without any history.

During my tour I would let the owner know what I was picking up on and take some photos.  Give any messages I was told and then make notes for the team.
Once the team arrived I would share where I thought the best spots would be to set up and they would go in and do their thing with all the equipment.  I would stay and then set up and participate with the team encouraging more communication and taking photos.

Some things to keep in mind:
When entering a haunted place or trying spirit communications remember to be respectful.  Just as with the living, your personality may not mess with the ghost that is on site and they may not want anything to do with you.  This is OK.  Just thank them and walk away.  You wouldn't walk into a coffee shop and start yelling at people or making fun of them to get a reaction so why would you try to provoke a ghost to doing something?  It's rude and uncalled for.
You always want to shield or say a prayer of intent to set some boundaries and protect yourself from anything that may want to attach and follow you home.
When I would get to an area of the building where I felt a ghost, I would set down some ground rules.  I get specific as you never know how they will define your words.  So I said something like this:

My name and why I am here.
Please respect that I do not like being touched, no scratching or drawing my blood or doing anything to me that can cause bodily harm.
Please don't freak me out by materializing in front of me without warning.  
You must stay here.  You may not follow me home.  So if you would like my help to pass on a message or find someone for you please say so while I'm here.  
You can talk to me because I can hear you.  You can send visions.  You can tell my guides to pass along information. If you know of any other being here that would like to communicate please invite them to do so.  However keep in mind I do not know how time works on your side so you may have to do things really quick for me to pick up on it in the time I am visiting here.

I firmly believe that if you do no harm none will come to you but please spell it out.

When using a camera I take several photos in a row of an area.  So if something shows up in a photo there is evidence in other photos that it was not there and then there and then gone.

When using a voice recorder I ask clear questions and tell the ghost what a voice recorder is.  I explain that the people around me may not be able to hear the ghost as I do and that this black box can hear their voice and record it so when I play it back my friends can hear what it is the ghost is saying.  I also make sure I tell the ghost it cannot harm them.

Same with working with a flashlight.  I have a mini mag light that I use and ask the ghost present to turn on and off for yes and no answers.  I have to explain that this is not something that will hurt them that I can touch it and not get burned.  I also explain again that I have no idea how time works on their side so they must answer quickly.  When using this I ask a lot of follow up questions to make sure the ghost is manipulating the light and that I am understanding them correctly.  It is amazing when you do this with the voice recorder and then have a session when I am getting information to questions asked by a team member and the answers are confirmed on the voice recorder and the light goes on or off.
Always remember to thank the ghost for the information they provide and for communicating with you.

Intuitive Angel Card Reading....What is it? Reiki What is it?

Hi All,
This is a Random blog because I am a bit upset with a few readings this weekend at the Hayward Expo and I want to put this out there because if I explain it maybe someone reading this can help me explain it better.

Now, I am not a Tarot Card reader and what I know of Tarot is general.  I know this, Tarot cards are shuffled by the client as the client tells the Tarot Reader what their question is or what they want out of the reading. It's a specific item.  Then the reader puts cards from the deck into a spread and then reads the cards based on if they are upright or reversed, and their relation to the other cards around them in the spread.  Now the reader may get information from the spirit guides or angels from the clients however again it is the clients job to make since of things.

With an Intuitive Angel Card reading I ask the the client to think of a question or an area they want guidance for.  Then I have them shuffle the cards as much or as little as the client wants.  Then I put them on the table and spread them in a line and let the client pick the cards.  I do not touch the cards until I start to read them.  When I read the cards I then get messages from the clients angels or spirit guides and pass them on to the client.  Now it is the clients job to make sense of the information because it is the clients life path.  It is not my job to make sense of information or judge information because it's not mine.  It's not my path it is the clients.  In this reading, order of cards or upside down or right side up doesn't matter.  Only the message on the card and then the deeper meaning of the card as I get information from the clients guides or angels.

For me the cards are just a tool for you to see what I am being told.  I could also give you the same information by holding your hand for a second to make a connection with your energy and then communicate with you angels and spirit guides.

Reiki Sessions
In a Reiki session I work with your body's energy to release energy blocks within the body that cause pain, stress, or emotional distress.  That is the simple version. 

The more complex is Reiki is the Universal Life Force Energy.  A practitioner channels this energy through their upper chakras through their hands and into the clients aura, body and through their chakras and then exits out of the clients root chakra into mother earth.  After a Reiki session, a client should drink plenty of water.

Time to move on...

Hi All,
I have been doing a great deal of thinking this weekend about this blog and about what it is I'd like to do with Mystic Monday and Sacred Grove Intuitive Services.  I think the time has come for me to let go of the blog as I can't move through new doors while not closing doors that are no longer helpful or feel right to be walking through.
Every weekend I struggle with not only time to write the blog but a subject to address.  I feel like over the years I've written all I can on the basic subjects of Reiki, healing, past lives, and some paranormal experiences.  I'm at a point where I feel I at this time have nothing else to write and there are new projects that I would like to direct my energy at.

Hi All,
Last week I had a ribbon cutting for Scared Grove Intuitive Services.  Here is a picture from the New Richmond Chamber of Commerce.  They were all very nice and just a great group of people.

This weekend I was at the Dancing Dragonfly Winery for their first Intuitive Expo.  I met so many great people.
There is one thing that really struck me as something I need to address.  Reiki Masters.  When you pick a Reiki Master to work with no only should you feel comfortable with the person but they need to know what they are talking about and teaching.  Now I get new Reiki Masters need to start some where but as a student read as much as you can about Reiki and ask questions. 

This weekend I met a woman that was attuned to level lll.  Which OK some Masters break down Reiki to three levels and then a Master level but I just feel it's not needed. Level l to get you introduced to the energy and Level ll to be a practitioner and Master to teach is all you need. Keep it simple.

So anyway, I asked this woman while working on her if she cleared herself on a regular basis and if she cut her cords.  She said she had no idea what I was talking about.  I was like what?  this is stuff I teach level l so that people really know their energy and stay healthy and balanced.  I did teach her at the end of her session what she needed to know to clear and cut cords.

Ask questions and read up on what you are asking to be taught. I don't like to teach big groups.  I like small groups of 4 or less or a one on one.  I do this so that everyone has time to practice and experiment with energy and to ask as many questions as they want.  If I don't have answers to questions I will research to find answers.  I also tell my students that I will always answer an email if they have future questions.

So OK this blog became a bit of a soap box for me.  But I want people to know what they are doing when working energy work and Reiki.

Hi All,
Another short blog today just to tell you what is up and going on.
I am working on an office in Hudson and one in New Richmond.  I hope to have all that space sorted out by February.

This Saturday I will be at the Dancing Dragonfly Winery in St. Croix Falls, WI.  I am waiting for them to email me the details so I will post here when I have those and on facebook.

Affirmations

Hi All,
We are talking about bettering ourselves for the new year and today the topic is Affirmations.

An affirmation is a positive statement that will help to create a positive change in your life. 

Say you want to lose weight.  Instead of telling yourself "I need to lose 10 pounds", try "My body is a fat burning machine."  Or "It is a safe time for my fat cells to release fat that is stored and no longer serves my body."  If you are trying to bring in more of something you can say " I am surrounded by the abundance of the universe which supplies me with ..." 

Another way to make affirmations more powerful is to hook them with I am grateful for (state what you are grateful for). 

Have you created your vision board yet?  As you look at it every morning, say an affirmation that goes with each picture you have on it.  This will help you match the vibration of what it is you would like to manifest into your life.

Another short blog but something just to get your creative juices flowing to bring more positive into your life and to help you heal and move forward.

Anything that no longer serves you, let it go.  The past is past and you can't fix it, so bless the lessons you learned from it, forgive and move forward.

Protection

Hi All,
I had a good question come in and wanted to share it.\
How do you protect yourself from a family member's negative energy or a friend's negative energy that is directed towards you?
Well there are a few things you can do.  You can protect yourself in general.

 Put up a bubble of white light around yourself to deflect any negative energy from the person.  If you can give the bubble the intent to protect you using the name of the person even better.  Going off this you can also visualize a circle of mirrors around yourself, reflective side out to bounce back the energy to the person that is sending it.

If random thoughts or feelings of the person come at you through out the day, you can create a bubble of white light put the person inside it and then release it the person to the angels asking the angels to heal the person for their highest good.

Wear protective stones with the intent that they protect you from so and so's energy.
Cut your energy cords frequently during the day.

Self Reflect on this.  Mediate.  Why do you believe the person is sending negative energy your way?  Are you fighting?  Can you mend the relationship?  What can you change in yourself to change how the person feels about you?
Some believe when we have negative feelings towards someone it is because they reflect back to us something we do not like in ourselves so that needs to be looked at.'

New Year and New You

Hi All,
Happy New Year! 

Let's go over some dates and then get right into a short blog.  Please start to follow the Mystic Monday Facebook page as I do post little things here and there. 

Jan. Dates:
This week is pretty calm.
The 15th is Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The 16th is the New Moon.
The 21st Celtic Tree month of Rowan begins.

How many of you made New Years Resolutions?  Notice any more traffic at the gym?  We all use a new year to strive to do better or be better but what makes it stick?  What makes us give up?

This is the year to take control of whatever it is you need to.  For some of us it's goals in career, or our personal goals for fitness, or love whatever it is this is the year!  So how to stick to it.
Manifest it.  Stay with me we are going to apply some pretty simple things but it does require homework and about 5 minutes a day.

First, focus on a goal.  What is it you would like to do this year? 
Next is homework.  Go out and get supplies or maybe do it on the computer and print it out but make a vision board.  Yes, I know it sounds hoky but do it.  Put on your tag board, or cork board or print out everything you wish to accomplish this year.  If it is a trimmer body then find a fitness picture you like and stick it up there.  The house you dream of, put it up there.  A full calendar of clients, yep, put it up there.

Now here is the catch, every day spend 5 minutes with the board.  See yourself as you look reaching your fitness goal, see the house you are walking into and imagine the inside of it.  What does it look like, the floor space?  New job?  What do you do in your day?  What does your new career look like?  See it.  Maybe in the morning you take 5 with your morning cup of coffee and look at it and daydream about it. 
Focus on the feelings you get when you are thinking about your goals.  Then ask the universe to help you get there.  How does it get better then this?  How do I get to that? 
That is the homework.

Keep your energy clear.  Start meditation or prayer.  Clear yourself daily.  Cut your energy cords. 

Again today's blog short and simple but we are going to keep going with self improvement and goals this year.  So get that board done.  I'll do mine.  Feel free to post photos of your boards.  The more people you talk to and share your dreams with the more you will attract the energy to you to match your dreams.  Think about what you'd like, slap up the photo, spend time with it daydreaming about it.  See yourself as you already have it.

Yuck Energies....

Hi All, 

Here is what we are dealing with:

I don't know about all of you but I can tell Mercury is in Retrograde.  My cellphone and car hate each other and they both have joined forces against me.  Does this sound familiar?  Well the good news is it is done by the holidays.  December 22, or 23.  So hang in there.  Most of the things effected are electronics and anything dealing with communications.  Hence the phone.

So best advice, clear your energy as much as you can.  Don't buy any new electronics or phones until after Christmas and this is over.

Let's jump into dates because there is a lot going on.

Sunday Night was a Super Moon. Did you feel the energy?  Because Mercury also went retrograde.  Yep, Happy Joy!

Wednesday the 13th is the beginning of Hanukkah.  It ends the 20th.

Monday the 18th is the New Moon.

Thursday the 21st is Winter Solstice/Yule

December 24th Christmas Eve and the 25th is Christmas.  Merry Christmas!

December 24th is also the beginning of the Celtic Month of Birch.

Kwanzaa is the 26th of December.  Happy Kwanzaa!

This month a lot of things going on. 

Things to celebrate and rituals to do.  

With all the Holidays going on this month it is important to keep your energy healthy and protected.  So cut your cords several times a day and smudge yourself at least nightly.  It wouldn't be a bad idea to wear protective stones and do daily energy work on yourself or medications to keep your energy clear.

Review:  Protective stones fall into the colors of black or dark stones.  Onyx or Smokey Quartz, etc..  Your birthstone is also a protection stone unique to your birth month. So if you have it wear it.

Smudging:  This is a technique where you burn sage leaves or palo santo wood and fan the smoke over your body.  Light your sage and get it burning pretty good then blow it out so there is a good smoke stream.  Then fan the smoke up over your body and over your head.  Do this several times to clear your energy.

Remember when you are interacting with people you are sending out energy cords plugging into them and they are doing the same to you.  Through out the day clear yourself of these cords.

I am not sure where the new year is going to take me with the blog.  It has been real hard to devote time to writing and then trying to put together a few outlines for books I want to work on, plus life in general.  In 2018, I hope to have an office in New Richmond, WI.  I am also booking expos I will be at 2 in March and 2 in April so far.  Those will post on the facebook Mystic Monday page, here and on my new website at www.sacredgroveintuitiveservices.com

Chakras and Clearning Your Energy

Hi All,

Today's topic comes by request. Before we get started here are some dates.

Saturday the 18th is the New Moon.  Remember to do your ritual.

Your body is made up of many different energy layers and centers.  Your aura has about 7 layers and your body has many different chakras but we always focus on the main 7 that run down the center of the front of the body.

Energy workers always work on the body from head to toe so let's start at the head.

The Crown chakra is purple or white. I tend to go with white as it's main purpose is to keep us connected with spirit or our source.  Stones that I will sometimes to grid the body for the crown charka are clear quartz or moonstone.

The third eye is located in the middle of your forhead.  For me I see this one as purple instead of the indigo as listed up on top.  The third eye is where all of our psychic abilities are manifested.  Your intuition.  Meditation is the biggest thing you can do to workout this part of your brain.  I use amathyst for a stone here and place it right on the third eye.

The throat chakra is next down the line.  The color for this chakra is blue.  I like working with bluelace agate for this area.  This is the center for your voice and speaking your truth.  Standing up for yourself if you will.

The hear chakra is next and can be green or pink.  So here I use malachite or rose quartz when using stones.  This is your heart center.  Love, compassion, acceptance and forgiveness all stem from here.

Sacral Chakra is next  it is yellow and I like to use citrene here. This is where your emotions come in.  It is also about pleasure and happiness.

The solar plexus is next.  Located just below your belly.   Orange in color.  I like to use carnealian stone here.

This is where you power and confidence is.

Then last the root.  Red in color. I use garnet or any black grounding stones here.  This is the chakra that keeps you grounded to Mother Earth.

So this is a basic 101 of the chakras.  Balancing and keeping them clean is another topic.

Everyone has there own ways to clear and block the chakras.  Reiki practitioners channel reiki to the chakras using symbols to clear them.  Intuitive healers may use the universal white light and stones to clear and balance them.  Some healers use smudging and stones.  It's all up to you and what feels right.  Keep your intent for your highest good and you won't go wrong. You can also ask Archangel Raphael for help.  He is the healing angel. Your guides will also assist you with clearing and balancing but you have to ask.  Remember you have free will so they can't just do it without permission from you.

Meditation will clear and balance your chakras.  You simply visualize the chakras one at a time.  Look at each spinning ball and see if you see any dull spots.  Then wipe it clean.  Then look to see if it is spinning as it should.  If not simply spin it like you would a top to set it right again.  In Mystic Monday the book I include a few meditations.  

You can also use sage or palo santo wood to smudge yourself and clear out your energy.

I am booking readings and Reiki sessions for this Saturday.  My afternoon is filling up.  Morning is open.

Welcome Back! And our topic is Death.....

Hi All,

Welcome Back!  This weekend's events inspired me to write a return.  Also just to put this out there if you have topics or subjects you'd like discussed please email me as I am not only back to writing here I will be writing a new series of books with topics that vary on the subject of Energy Work, Reiki and perhaps some tools used such as Crystals and how to use them.

Sunday was the first day of Reed in the Celtic Tree Calendar.

Halloween is Tuesday!  The death of the old year and start of the new.  As you all know on this day the veil drops and spirits can come through a lot easier than on a normal day of the year.  Be warned weird things can happen on Halloween.  This would be a great time to prepare a small ritual of honoring those who have passed and putting to rest any old, stale energy that no longer serves you.

Today's topic is brought on by having had to attend a funeral of a distant cousin, one whom I didn't know, who this past week was tragically taken from her family way to early… or was she?  Now with that opening statement don't get angry just breathe and read on.

In 2002 my life changed when I was introduced to Reiki.  My childhood abilities started to return and I have spent years reading, studying and practicing to regain them.  What does this have to do with our topic?  Tons.  Since then I have stopped looking at death the way "normal" people do.  I still see the tragic, the aging, the whatever reason it is that causes a person to die.  However, I also question it, look at it as a beginning and not an ending, and for me it's a shift in reality.

What the hell is she talking about?  Well let me explain.  I have been communicating with crossed over loved ones and ghost-souls that have not crossed over and are stuck here for one reason or another.  Here is what I have learned over the years and what I have recently learned through a reading I did a few weeks ago.

A few years ago I did a blog on death and what it was like for suicides as I had thought and read about, as described by other mediums.  A few weeks ago I did a very public reading for a client whose crossed over loved one was a “suicide” when he was alive on this side.   The crossed over loved one stated that he had done what he had done because it was written in his chart as a way out.  See, we can write ourselves many death points in a life chart and chose at that time to take or not take it.  Ever have a close call car crash?  How about an out of body experience or any other near death?  He had written in his life chart a very difficult life and chose this point to exit.  However, the good in his exit was this.  His untimely exit was a lesson for his crossed over loved one's soul.  Now I can't make all of this story public, but I can say that at this point it was a turning point and learning experience of the client as the event was made in their contracts to help her soul evolve.

So my opinion of suicide has changed greatly. I use to think that a suicide soul would be wrapped in love, taken by their guides to review their life and then get sent back ASAP to repeat the lesson they were supposed to learn but took an out instead. I still believe this can happen for some.  I also believe that some cross over and choose to stay there and live a happy life on the other side until we are all reunited again.

A few years back a college friend of mine was murdered.  I was angry, I went through all the “what if's”.  Then I read a book about the other side, I believe it was written by Sylvia Brown, who I take with a grain of salt but what she had said made sense to me.  In the book it stated something like, souls who are murdered choose this death because they are highly evolved souls and are choosing this to teach a great lesson for the souls they contracted with in this life time.  Through this violent death, the souls of the group they incarnated with will then be helped more rapidly to reach the next level of evolving and becoming closer to The Source.  (God, Goddess, whoever you believe in)

For me this gives comfort in this choice made in the out the person chose.  It is also a way to help the person's soul who did the unthinkable act.  So for the family that reads this, I offer this comfort.  I also know that you will be one day see her when you cross over.  She will be there to greet you and help you do what it is you need to when the time comes. 

Now I can get into an entire book about what about this death or that death....Bottom line is this.  Death is not an ending but a shift in location.  One is no longer physically present in our world but they are here when you need them.

So talk to them, call on them and then the trick is to quiet your mind so you can hear them or be open minded enough to recognize a sign they could put in your way so you know they are listening.
