Ghost
and Graves Tour
One year a friend and I gathered a bunch of co-workers
from our day job and went on the St. Paul Ghost and Graves Tour. The tour took
us through the old cemeteries to become educated in Victorian graves and their
symbolism, as well as history. While looking at a huge stone, I walked over the
grave of a man and instantly felt sick to my stomach. Well one of our guides
noticed and took my elbow and asked if I was okay? I told him no I wasn’t as I
was feeling sick all of a sudden. I asked him to walk me out to the road. He
and I talked a little as to what brought it on. As we walked near a tree and another
grave, I felt a rope go around my neck and pull me back. I grabbed for my
neckline and threw the rope off. I mentally asked that the man with the rope be
escorted from my presence. When we arrived at the gate and stepped out to the
road everything that was following us and bugging me left. I didn’t get on the
bus right away but asked my friend to stay outside a minute and help me clear
and ground. As we got on the bus the other tour guide asked if I would share
the story since we were on a ghost tour.
With as many places I have been with history and
activities rarely do I come across a ghost that is harmful. The ones that are
angry I leave alone if they do not want to communicate. My thoughts are if I’m
walking around pissed off I most likely don’t want to talk to anyone I don’t
know. I respect the ghost I am in the presence of and will not engage if I feel
like I shouldn’t. I will ask if the ghost would like to communicate with
someone else in my group. It’s just like communicating with the living. You
wouldn’t go into someone else’s space and randomly yell stuff at them to anger
them to get them to talk or show you they are present would you?
There is the chance maybe the ghost doesn’t like me
as a person when they meet me. And that’s cool. One time I was with a person
investigating and the ghost kept making a loud rap on the walls here and there
as we walked through the upstairs. When we stopped in a room we put a voice
recorder down and I took out divining
rods. The rods will cross for a “yes” answer and get far apart for a “no”. We
started asking basic stuff like do you want to communicate with us. Will you
talk to Jamie (name changed) since she can’t here you and I can? I got a quick “no”
with the rods. We asked why? And I got an “I don’t like her” in my mind. I said
okay and we continued. When we listened to the voice recorder you could hear
the word “bitch” after the question why?
We laughed so hard. Well there you go, the dead don’t always like the
living right off the bat. Just like when I meet someone I might not like them
instantly or vice-versa.
Only one time did I ever get a little freaked out. I
was working out of a salon and another Reiki practitioner and I were working on
a client together. Deep into our session we heard footsteps on the floor above
us. Then all the sudden the door to the upstairs flew open and hits the wall
then shuts. We looked at each other and I said, “I’m going to ask the guides to
stand guard”. Well we start up again and all of a sudden a few minutes later it
happens again. So I went out and opened the door and yelled up the stairs, “Hey
we are working down here for this person’s highest good. Please stay upstairs
until we are done. We should only be a little longer then you can have the
place to yourself.” It didn’t happen again, but it freaked me a little.
More stories next week! My goal is to get a little
more intense as we get closer to Halloween and include some pictures from
investigations.
Until next week. Blessings All.
Wendy
